RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CAMPBELL '
AUTHORIZING THE POLICE DEPARTMENT TO SUBMIT AN APPLICATION TO
BE CONSIDERED FOR A SURPLUS ARMORED RESCUE VEHICLE THROUGH
THE 1033 PROGRAM
WHEREAS, the Campbell Police Department currently utilizes a 1989 nrodel-
year armored rescue vehicle (THOR); and,
WHEREAS, a newer and improved armored rescue vehicle may be available
through the 1033 Program at little or no cost to the City of Campbell; and,
WHEREAS, the costs associated with outfitting fhe vehicle may be. funded
through existing Asset Forfeiture funds and Police Foundation funds;:and;•'
WHEREAS, the Police Department and the citizens of Campbell would benefit
from such a vehicle during disasters or times of crisis,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED'by the City Council of the City of
Campbell that the Police Department is authorized to submit an application to the 1033
Program for a newer armored rescue vehicle to replace THOR, and to accept and outfit
such vehicle Nth the necessary equipment if our application is.approved.
