RESOLUTION NO.
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CAMPBELL COMMENDING CAPTAIN CHARLEY ADAMS
ON HIS 30 YEARS OF SERVICE TO THE CITY OF CAMPBELL
WHEREAS, Captain Adams began his career with the City of Campbell as a Police
Officer in December of 1984 and was promoted to Agent in 1997, Sergeant in 2001, and
Captain in 2009; and
WHEREAS, Captain Adams has served as a Motor Officer, Field Training Officer,
Investigations Supervisor, Traffic Unit Supervisor, Major Accident Investigation Team
Member, Hostage Negotiation Team Member, Bike Patrol Member, and Administration
Sergeant; and
WHEREAS, Captain Adams created the Specialized Motorcycle Patrol Program; and
WHEREAS, Captain Adams is a member of the Technical Advisory Committee of the
Silicon Valley Animal Control Authority and has been responsible for managing the
Animal Control Services for the City of Campbell; and
WHEREAS, Captain Adams has served as the Neighborhood Liaison for the San Tomas
West Neighborhood Association; and
WHEREAS, Captain Adams has been a distinguished recipient of the Medal of Honor in
1990; and
WHEREAS, Captain Adams has demonstrated his dedication to public service and the
field of law enforcement by serving with distinction, honor, integrity, and excellence; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of_ Campbell
recognizes and commends Captain Charley Adams on his retirement from the City of
Campbell after 30 years of service.
