A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CAMPBELL REJECTING
ALL BIDS FOR THE EAST CAMPBELL AVENUE PORTALS PROJECT 11-EE AND
AUTHORIZING THE READVERTISEMENT OF THE
PROJECT AND RELATED ACTIONS
WHEREAS, the City Council adopted Resolution No. 11636 approving the plans and
specifications and authorizing the call for bids for the East Campbell Avenue Portals
Project 11-EE on January 21, 2014; and
WHEREAS, two bid proposals were received and opened on June 4, 2014; and
WHEREAS, both bid proposals exceed the budgeted construction contract amount; and
WHEREAS, a re-bid of the project would allow staff to make adjustments to the project
scope to decrease project costs.
- NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Campbell
that all bids for the construction of the East Campbell Avenue Portals Project 11-EE
received on June 4, 2014 are hereby rejected and that the City Council of the City of
Campbell authorizes the Public Works Director to readvertise and call for formal bids for
the construction of the East Campbell Avenue Portals Project 11-EE and to award a
contract to the lowest responsible bidder.
