BEING A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CAMPBELL AUTHORIZING COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT DIRECTOR
TO EXECUTE AN AGREEMENT WITH. WC3 CONSULTANTS FOR A
CONTRACT CITY BUILDING INSPECTOR TO SERVE ON A
TEMPORARY FULL-TIME BASIS FOR A PERIOD OF UP TO (16) WEEKS
UNTIL SUCH TIME AS THE RETURN TO FULL TIME EMPLOYMENT OF
THE EXISITING FULL TIME BUILDING INSPECTOR WITH THE
POTENTIAL FOR AN EXTENSION AT THE DISCRETION OF THE CITY
MANAGER.
WHEREAS, the City desires to obtain temporary full-time consulting services to fill a vacancy
within the Building Division for the purpose of performing routine city building inspection
assignments; and
WHEREAS, WC3 Consultants has qualified consultants with the expertise, means and ability to
provide city Building Division Services on a supplemental staffing basis; and
WHEREAS, Pursuant to Section 10.7 of the City Council's Administrative Policies, the City
Council reserves the ability to authorize the hiring of consultants whose charges will exceed
$15,000; and
WHEREAS, the Division will be able to cover the costs for City Inspection services through
salary savings and a budget adjustment based on revenue projections; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Campbell hereby
authorizes the Community Development Director to execute an agreement between the City of
Campbell and WC3 Consultants for City Building-Inspection services for a period of 16 weeks
and authorizing the City Manager to extend the contract for an additional six months at his
discretion.
