A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF CAMPBELL AUTHORIZING
THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER INTO AN AGREEMENT WITH
PG&E'S ON-BILL FINANCING PROGRAM FOR THE CONVERSION
OF STREETLIGHTS TO LED FIXTURES
WHEREAS, the City of Campbell has participated in the Bay Area Climate Collaborative
in an effort to reduce energy use and conserve natural resources; and
WHEREAS, the City of Campbell has demonstrated its commitment to conserving
resources by installing Electric Vehicle Charging Stations and introducing Electric
Vehicles into the municipal fleet;
WHEREAS, the City of Campbell has an interest in reducing long-term energy costs;
and
WHEREAS, staff has identified at least 162 streetlights throughout the City that would
benefit from the conversion to LED fixtures; and
WHEREAS, staff has reviewed a variety of funding options and determined the PG&E
On-Bill Financing Program to be the most favorable to the City.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Campbell
authorizes the City Manager to enter into an Agreement with PG&E's On-Bill Financing
Program in an amount not to exceed $100,000 for the purchase and installation of LED
streetlights in the City of Campbell.
