A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CAMPBELL
CONSIDERING AND APPROVING THE PUBLIC ART FOR EAST CAMPBELL
AVENUE PORTALS PROJECT NO. 11-EE
WHEREAS the City Engineer issued requests for qualifications pursuant to Resolution
No. 11469 and
WHEREAS, proposals were received and reviewed by a selection committee; and
WHEREAS, five -public artists were invited to make presentations to the selection
committee for the East Campbell Avenue Portals Project public art component; and
WHEREAS, public artist Susan Zoccola was determined by the selection committee to
be the highest qualified to provide the public artwork for the project; and
WHEREAS, the City Engineer entered into an agreement with the artist Susan Zoccola
pursuant to Resolution No. 11545 and
WHEREAS, a conceptual design was presented to the Caltrans Art Review Committee
and the Civic Improvement Commission; and
WHEREAS, a final design has been prepared for Council's consideration.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Campbell
hereby considers and approves the public art for the East Campbell Avenue Portals
Project No 11-EE as generally depicted in the attachment to the Staff Report.
