A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CAMPBELL
ACCEPTING THE MODIFICATIONS TO THE PUBLIC ART DESIGN, AUTHORIZING
THE PUBLIC WORKS DIRECTOR TO EXECUTE AN AMENDMENT TO THE
CONSULTANT SERVICES AGREEMENT WITH BIGGS CARDOSA ASSOCIATES
FOR CONSTRUCTION ENGINEERING SERVICES AND
APPROVING A BUDGET ADJUSTMENT
WHEREAS, the City Council approved the Public Art for the East Campbell Portals
Project on November 18, 2014 and
WHEREAS, the public artist has made some recommendations for revisions to the
project plans to improve the coordination of the artwork with the project; and
WHEREAS, additional services are required from the City's consulting engineer Biggs
Cardosa Associates to address unknown conditions, additional services requested
during construction and to make minor modifications to the plans for the public artwork;
and
WHEREAS, Transportation Development Act FY 14/15 funds of $100,000 have been
awarded to the project; and
WHEREAS, CIPR funding of $206,460 has been set aside as a potential local match for
the Hacienda Avenue Enhancement Project 14-EE which was not awarded a One Bay
Area Grant and will not'be moving forward and
WHEREAS, a budget adjustment has been prepared to recognize the $100,000 of TDA
funding and the transfer of $151,000 of CIPR funds from the Hacienda Avenue
Enhancement Project 14-EE into the East Campbell Avenue Portals Project 11-EE.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Campbell
hereby
1 Accepts the modifications to the Public Art design; and
2. Authorizes the Public Works Director to execute an amendment to the
Consultant Services Agreement with Biggs Cardosa Associates for
construction engineering services in an amount not to exceed $80 000 and
3. Approves a budget adjustment.
