A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CAMPBELL
GRANTING APPROVAL TO THE APPLICANT TO PURSUE PARTNERSHIP
FUNDS UNDER THE SAFE, CLEAN WATER AND NATURAL
FLOOD PROTECTION PROGRAM
WHEREAS, the Santa Clara Valley Water District has enacted 'the 2015 Safe, Clean
Water Priority D Partnership Program; and
WHEREAS, the Santa Clara Valley Water District's Watershed Stewardship and
Planning Division has been delegated the responsibility for the administration of the
partnership program, setting up necessary procedures; and
WHEREAS, said procedures established by the Santa Clara Valley Water District require
the Applicant's Governing Body to certify by resolution the approval of Applicant to
pursue partnership funds and enter into partnership agreements; and
WHEREAS, Acterra and the City of Campbell will jointly apply for said grant funding and,
if successful, will enter into a Partnership Agreement with the Santa Clara Valley Water
District.
NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Campbell
hereby '
Approves the submission of necessary documentation from specified Safe,
Clean Water and Natural Flood Protection Partnership Program;
2. Approves entering into partnership agreements for using in-kind contribution
of staff and volunteer time;
3. Certifies that the Potential Partner(s) have or will have sufficient funds to
operate and maintain the Project(s);
4 Certifies that the Potential Partner(s) will review and agree to the Special
Provisions, General Provisions, Financial Provisions and Insurance
Requirements contained in the Agreement; and
5 Appoints the Public Works Director as agent to conduct all negotiations,
execute and submit all documents including, but not limited to forms,
agreements, payment requests and so on, which may be necessary for the
completion of the partnership project.
