BEING A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CAMPBELL IN SUPPORT OF NATIONAL NIGHT OUT 2015
WHEREAS, the National Association of Town Watch is sponsoring a
unique nationwide crime, drug and violence prevention program on
August 4, 2015, entitled "National Night Out"; and
WHEREAS, the 32"d Annual National Night Out provides a unique
opportunity for Campbell to join forces with over 16,000 communities
across the country in promoting cooperative police-community crime
prevention efforts; and
WHEREAS, the City of Campbell and its citizens play a vital role in
assisting the Campbell Police Department through collaborative crime,
drug and violence prevention efforts in Campbell and is supporting
National Night Out 2015 locally; and
WHEREAS, it is essential that all citizens of Campbell be aware of the
importance of crime prevention programs and the impact that their
participation can have on reducing crime, drugs and violence in Campbell;
and
WHEREAS, police-community partnerships, neighborhood safety,
awareness and cooperation are important themes of the National Night
Out program.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City
of Campbell, does hereby support "National Night Out" on August 4, 2015,
in the City of Campbell and calls upon all citizens to join the City, the
Police Department and the National Association of Town Watch in this
celebration of neighborhood unity and community safety.
