A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CAMPBELL
APPROVING SPECIFICATIONS AND CALL FOR BIDS FOR A NEW 2015
JOHN DEERE 310K BACKHOE LOADER AND A NEW 2015 F-450 VERSALIFT
TELESCOPIC AERIAL BUCKET TRUCK WITH HYBRID OPTION
WHEREAS, staff is requesting the procurement of a new 2015 John Deere 310K backhoe
loader, and a new 2015 Ford F-450 Versalift telescopic aerial bucket truck with hybrid option.
Both units are funded in the FY 2015/16, Vehicle and Equipment Maintenance Budget; and
WHEREAS, the estimated fair market value for each new piece of equipment is greater than
$25,000; therefore, Council approval is required; and
WHEREAS, the 2015 John Deere 310K backhoe loader, and a new 2015 Ford F-450 Versalift
telescopic aerial bucket truck with hybrid option, have been identified as suitable equipment for
the purposes outlined in the preceding report.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council approve specifications and call
for bids for one new 2015 John Deere 310K backhoe loader, and a new 2015 Ford F-450
Versalift telescopic aerial bucket truck with hybrid option.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Council hereby authorizes the Public Works
Director to execute a contract in an amount not to exceed $115,000 for the procurement of the
backhoe loader and $120,000 for the aerial bucket truck, to the lowest responsible bidder.
