A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF CAMPBELL AUTHORIZING
THE CITY MANAGER TO ENTER INTO AN AGREEMENT WITH
PG&E'S ENERGY EFFICIENCY FINANCING PROGRAM FOR THE CONVERSION
OF STREETLIGHTS TO LED FIXTURES
WHEREAS, the City of Campbell has demonstrated its commitment to reducing long-
term energy costs by converting over 200 streetlights to LED fixtures; and
WHEREAS, PG&E's Energy Efficiency Financing program offers municipalities an
interest-free loan up to $250,000 to fund LED streetlight conversions; and
WHEREAS, the City of Campbell has already received $49,647 in PG&E Energy
Efficiency Financing to fund the cost of 162 streetlight conversions to LED fixtures; and
WHEREAS, staff has identified over 550 additional streetlights throughout the City to
convert to LED fixtures and will add additional streetlights along major arterials; and
WHEREAS, staff has reviewed a variety of funding options and determined the PG&E
Energy Efficiency Financing Program to be the most favorable to the City.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Campbell
authorizes the City Manager to enter into an Agreement with PG&E's Energy Efficiency
Financing Program in an amount not to exceed $200,000 for the purchase and
installation of LED streetlights in the City of Campbell.
