CONTRACT AUTHORIZATION AMENDMENT FOR CONSERVATION CORPS -
HACIENDA AVENUE GREEN STREET IMPROVEMENT PROJECT NO. 08-04A
WHEREAS, on October 18, 2011, the City Council adopted Resolution No. 11226
approving the use of federal funds from the Community Design and Transportation
(CDT) grant for the Hacienda Avenue Greet Street Improvements Project; and
WHEREAS, on October 1, 2013, the City Council adopted Resolution 11602
authorizing the Director of Public Works to negotiate and execute a contract with the
Conservation Corps as required by the CDT Grant Program in an amount not to exceed
$25,000; and
WHEREAS, work on the Hacienda Avenue Green Street Improvement Project is now at
the point where the Conservation Corps can begin their work to install plant material;
and
WHEREAS, revised schedule and labor costs have increased the estimated contract
amount necessary with the Conservation Corps;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Campbell
hereby authorizes the Director of Public Works to negotiate and execute a contract with
the San Jose Conservation Corps for the Hacienda Avenue Green Street Improvement
Project OS-04A in an amount not to exceed $34,000 and encumber a contract
contingency in an amount not to exceed $6,800 for a total encumbrance not to exceed
$40,800 and authorizes the City Engineer to negotiate and execute contract change
orders in amounts up to, but not exceeding, the total encumbrance.
