A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CAMPBELL
DISPENSING WITH THE FORMAL BIDDING PROCESS AND AUTHORIZING THE
RECREATION AND COMMUNITY SERVICES DIRECTOR TO PURCHASE
BLEACHERS FOR THE MAIN GYM AT THE COMMUNITY CENTER THROUGH THE
NATIONAL JOINT POWERS ALLIANCE
WHEREAS, the City Council approved and allocated funds for a Capital Improvement
Project for the replacement of the bleachers in the Main Gym as part of the 2015-16
Budget Process; and
WHEREAS, the City of Campbell is a member of the National Joint Powers Alliance
(NJPA); and
WHEREAS, the NJPA provides competitively bid contracts that result in cost savings
and streamline typical bidding processes; and
WHEREAS, the City of Campbell's Municipal Code 3.20.030 authorizes the City Council
to dispense with the bidding process if deemed to be in the best interest of the public;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council dispenses with the formal
bidding process and authorizes the Recreation and Community Services Director to
purchase bleachers for the Main Gym at the Community Center through the National
Joint Powers Alliance.
