A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CAMPBELL
AUTHORIZING THE DIRECTOR OF RECREATION AND COMMUNITY SERVICES
TO ISSUE A REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL (RFP) FOR CAMPBELL COMMUNITY
CENTER SPIN BIKE REPLACEMENT AND TO AWARD A CONTRACT TO THE
MOST QUALIFIED RESPONDENT
WHEREAS, the City of Campbell Recreation and Community Services Department
offers a variety of fitness activities including spin classes; and
WHEREAS, the City Council approved and allocated funds for a Capital Improvement
Project for the replacement of 25 spin bikes as part of the 2015-16 Budget process; and
WHEREAS, the City of Campbell's Municipal Code 3.20.050 requires a formal bidding
process to be used to award contracts greater than twenty-five thousand dollars; and
WHEREAS, the City of Campbell's Municipal Code 3.20.091 allows Requests for
Proposals (RFP) to be utilized for services and supplies that are technical in nature;
and;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Director of Recreation and Community
Services is hereby authorized to issue a Request for Proposals for the replacement of
Campbell Community Center spin bikes and to award a contract with the most qualified
respondent to the Request for Proposals.
