A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CAMPBELL
AUTHORIZING THE FINANCE .DEPARTMENT TO ISSUE A REQUEST FOR
PROPOSALS (RFP) FOR COLLECTION AGENCY :SERVICES
WHEREAS, the City of Campbell is responsible for the levying of fees, charges,
fines and penalties related to the business operations of.tlie City; and
WHEREAS, the City seeks to hire an outside agency to assist the City in collecting
revenues that have not been paid in a timely manner and are in doubt of collection
through the standard means performed .by the City; and,
WHEREAS, the City will share in the revenue collected by said agency based on a
percentage of the amounts collected in exchange for the work to perform the
collection activities; and,
WHEREAS, the assistance of a collection agency will help reduce the amount of
uncollected receivables in the City.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of
Campbell hereby authorizes the Finance Department to issue a Request for
Proposals for collection agency services.
