A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CAMPBELL
AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASE OF A NEW 2015 JOHN DEERE 310SL
BACKHOE LOADER FOLLOWING THE OPEN BIDDING PROCESS
WHEREAS, the purchase of this piece of equipment, is funded in the FY 2015/16
Vehicle and Equipment Maintenance Budget in the amount of $135,000; and
WHEREAS, on August 18, 2015, City Council authorized the approval of the
specifications and call for bids for a new 2015 John Deere 31 OK Backhoe Loader,
not to exceed $115,000; and
WHEREAS, two bids were received exceeding the authorized purchase amount
of $115,000; and
WHEREAS, Pape Machinery provided a competitive bid in the amount of $119,558
for the John Deere 31OSL model.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE R RESOLVED, that the City Council hereby authorizes
the Public Works Director to execute a contract in the amount of $119,558 for the
procurement of a new 2015 John Deere 31OSL backhoe loader from Pape
Machinery.
