CC Resolution 11911RESOLUTION NO. 11911 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CAMPBELL APPROVING A BUDGET ADJUSTMENT FOR THE LEIGH AVENUE/DRY CREEK ROAD INTERSECTION IMPROVEMENT PROJECT 12-GG WHEREAS, on July 19, 2011, the City Council adopted Resolution No. 11306 authorizing the City Engineer to execute acost-sharing agreement with the City of San Jose for the Leigh Avenue/Dry Creek Road Intersection Improvement Project and approve a budget adjustment; and WHEREAS, the City of Campbell was to contribute $50,000 toward this project; and WHEREAS, this project was subsequently added in Campbell's Capital Improvement Plan as Project 12-GG with a budget of $50,000 and a revenue source of construction tax funds; and WHEREAS, Campbell schoolchildren who use this intersection to walk to Bagby Elementary School would benefit from the intersection improvements that include asquared-off northwest corner and a shorter crossing distance across the west leg of Dry Creek Road; and WHEREAS, the account for Project 12-GG was closed prior to the $50,000 check being issued to the City of San Jose; and WHEREAS, the check was cut from a project with a zero balance since Project 12-GG did not carry forward to Fiscal Year 2014/15; and WHEREAS, the City of San Jose has been paid and the construction project has been completed; and WHEREAS, a budget adjustment in the amount of $50,000 has been prepared to increase the balance of Project 12-GG to $50,000. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Campbell approves the budget adjustment allocating $50,000 in construction tax funds to the Leigh Avenue/Dry Creek Road Intersection Improvement Project 12-GG and related transfers.
