A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CAMPBELL
AUTHORIZING PUBLIC WORKS STAFF TO MOVE FORWARD WITH INTERIM
BICYCLE AND PEDESTRIAN IMPROVEMENTS IN THE DOWNTOWN AREA
WHEREAS, on May 19, 2015 the City Council adopted resolution 11813 authorizing the
City Manager to execute the project fund agreement for the Transportation
Improvement Plan for Campbell PDA Project and authorizing the City to provide
$13,000 in local matching funds for the Project; and ,
WHEREAS, the Transportation Improvement Plan for Campbell PDA (TIPC) Project is
intended to develop a transportation improvement plan that forms the basis for
Campbell to compete for future funding of infrastructure projects that support housing,
employment, and services in Campbell's PDA, the Central Redevelopment Area; and
WHEREAS, at the September 6th City Council meeting (study session), CD+A will
summarize and present stakeholder and staff insights to the City Council; and
WHEREAS, while the Transportation Improvement Plan is being finalized, staff is
requesting authorization to move forward with the installation of interim improvements in
the Downtown area; and
WHEREAS, these interim improvements will cost less than $10,000, including labor and
materials, and will be funded from the Public Works Operating Budget.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council authorizes the Public
Works staff to move forward with interim bicycle and pedestrian improvements in the
Downtown area.
