A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF CAMPBELL
COMMENDING ALAN HONM FOR 19 YEARS OF SERVICE
WHEREAS, Alan Hom began his career with the City of Campbell as a Public Works Inspector
on December 15, 1997 and was promoted to Senior Public Works Inspector March 5, 2001; and
WHEREAS, Alan is a 1975 graduate of the University of Wyoming a Bachelor of Science
degree in Civil Engineering with Architectural Option; and
WHEREAS, Alan has been the lead inspector for all work within the public right of way and has
been responsible for the inspection of all street maintenance projects, capital improvement
projects, utility work in the public right of way and all street improvements associated with land
development projects; and
WHEREAS, Alan has monitored the contractors working in the public right of way to insure that
the public improvements are installed to current City standards, and that the installation is done
with the safety of the public as a primary concern. Alan is also a certified playground safety
officer; and
WHEREAS, Alan was instrumental in managing the Hacienda Avenue Green Street
Improvement Project and the East Campbell Avenue bridge widening project, coordinating
simultaneous complex construction projects on Winchester Boulevard, mentoring Engineering
interns and volunteering for the National Junior Achievement Job Shadow Day since 2001
WHEREAS, Alan's compassion, helpfulness and great sense of humor will be missed by all who
worked with him.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Campbell does
hereby express its appreciation to Alan Hom for his valuable service and many contributions to
the City of Campbell, and wishes him all the best in all future endeavors.

Campbell, California, as follows:
