A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CAMPBELL
APPROVING SPECIFICATIONS AND CALL FOR BIDS FOR
LED STREETLIGHT LUMINAIRES
WHEREAS, staff is requesting the procurement of streetlight luminaires; and
WHEREAS, in accordance with the City of Campbell's Purchasing Policy if the
equipment's estimated fair market value is greater than Twenty-Five Thousand Dollars
the formal bid process has to be used; and
WHEREAS, staff is requesting an exception to use an informal bid process as
prescribed by section 22032 of the California Public Contract Code; and
WHEREAS, the LED streetlight luminaires, have been identified as suitable equipment
for the purposes outlined in the preceding report; and
WHEREAS, the funding is expected to be approved by PG&E's Energy Efficiency
Financing (EEF) program; and
WHEREAS, staff is requesting the purchase of LED Streetlight Luminaires, in an
amount not to exceed $175,000; and
WHEREAS, staff is requesting to include $15,000 to the EEF program financing for
additional City staff support.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Campbell
does hereby approve the specifications and authorizes the call for bids for LED
Streetlight Luminaires not to exceed $175,000; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Campbell does hereby
approve the use of the informal bid process to call for bids for LED Streetlight
Luminaires; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Campbell does hereby
approve a budget adjustment in the amount of $190,000 from the General Fund
Reserve for Operations; and
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Campbell hereby
authorizes the Public Works Director to award the contract for procurement of this
equipment.
