A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL, AUTHORIZING ISSUANCE OF A
REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS (RFP) AND AUTHORIZING THE PUBLIC WORKS
DIRECTOR OR HIS DESIGNEE TO EXECUTE AN AGREEMENT WITH THE
MOSTQUALIFIED FIRM FOR STREET SIGN INVENTORY AND
RETROREFLECTIVITY ASSESSMENT
WHEREAS, the City is required by the Federal Highway Administration to establish and
implement a sign assessment or management method; and
WHEREAS, the City is behind schedule meeting the Federal Highway Administration's
timeline, and this project is the first step in moving towards compliance; and
WHEREAS, by utilizing a RFP as opposed to a low-bid only selection process, a higher
level of performance can be obtained and a company's ability to pertorm services within
time frames and to required standards can be more fairly assessed.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Campbell
hereby authorizes the issuance of a Request for Proposals (RFP) for Street Sign
Inventory and Retroreflectivity Assessment, and authorizes the Public Works Director or
his designee to execute an agreement with the most qualified firm.
