A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CAMPBELL
AUTHORIZING THE ISSUANCE OF A REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS (RFP) FOR
DESIGN SERVICES ASSOCIATED WITH PROJECT 17-LL -CAMPBELL COMMUNITY
CENTER PLAY AREA AND AUTHORIZING THE PUBLIC WORKS DIRECTOR TO
NEGOTIATE AND EXECUTE A CONSULTANT SERVICES AGREEMENT
WHEREAS, the adopted FY 2016/17 Capital Improvement Plan included funding for the
Campbell Community Center Play Area Design Project 17-LL; and
WHEREAS, professional design services are required to prepare a conceptual design; and
WHEREAS, the Consultant Services Agreement will consist of two phases with Phase I
focused on the conceptual design phase only and will include public outreach, preparation
of alternatives and the recommended conceptual design; and
WHEREAS, Phase II would cover preparation of contract and provision of bidding and
construction services and authorization for Phase II consultant services would be
considered by the City Council in conjunction with the approval of the •final conceptual
design.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Campbell
hereby approves the issuance of a request for proposals for design services for the
Campbell Community Center Play Area Project 17-LL and authorizes the Public Works
Director to negotiate and execute a Consultant Services Agreement in an amount not to
exceed $30,000 and encumber an additional $3,000 as a design contingency for a total
amount not to exceed $33,000.
