A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CAMPBELL
AUTHORIZING THE SOLICITATION OF BIDS AND AWARD OF CONTRACT FOR
PURCHASE OF ONE (1) NEW F-550 MEDIUM DUTY TRUCK WITH A 12' CHIPPER
BODY AND AUTHORIZATION TO PURCHASE ONE (1) NEW TORO MOWER
MODEL 5910 WITH ALL SEASON SAFETY CAB
WHEREAS, the existing flatbed truck and Toro mower have reached the end of their
useful life; and
WHEREAS, the adopted Fiscal Year 2016-17, Vehicle and Equipment Maintenance
Motor Pool Fund has appropriated funds for their replacement; and
WHEREAS, the estimated fair market value for each unit is greater than $25,000;
therefore Council authorization to purchase the equipment is required; and
WHEREAS, the Ford F-550 medium duty truck with 12' chipper body has been
identified as a suitable replacement vehicle to the existing flatbed truck; and
WHEREAS, the City of Campbell's Municipal Code Section 3.20.030, allows for the
procurement of equipment through the National IPA bid process; and
WHEREAS, staff is requesting the purchase of one new Ford F-550 medium duty truck
with 12' chipper body, not to exceed $100,000, and one new Toro Mower Model 5910,
not to exceed $116,000.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Campbell
hereby authorizes the solicitation of bids and award of contract for one new Ford F-550
medium duty truck with 12' chipper body not to exceed $100,000 and authorizes the
purchase of one new Toro Mower Model 5910 not to exceed $116,000.
