BEING A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF CAMPBELL CONGRATULATING
KIMI DE LEONIBUS, 2016 CITIZEN OF THE YEAR
WHEREAS, Kimi de Leonibus, was selected by the' Campbell Chamber of Commerce as
2016 Citizen of the Year in recognition of her many years of volunteer service to the Campbell
community, and will be honored on March 18, 2017 at the annual "Celebrate Campbell"
banquet; and
WHEREAS, Kimi de Leonibus, is the Community Relations Director of Delphi Academy of
Campbell; and
WHEREAS, Kimi de Leonibus, recognizes the opportunities afforded by a Delphi education
and is constantly looking for ways for their students to share their opportunities for the benefit of
others; and
WHEREAS, Kimi de Leonibus, has partnered with the City in providing workshops on trees
and plants at the Community Center for Delphi students, to re-painting the park sign at Edith
Morley Park to raising funds to build a new fitness area for youth at the Campbell track, Ms. De
Leonibus has worked hard to demonstrate a true partnership with the City that goes beyond
financial support but rather a support of spirit and community; and
WHEREAS, Kimi de Leonibus, has taken an active leadership role, initiated or participated in
several community projects and events over the past few years; and
WHEREAS, Kimi de Leonibus, has committed much of her personal time and energy to
engage community members, particularly the youth, to take an active commitment to the
wellbeing of the community; and
WHEREAS, Kimi de Leonibus, was recognized as a Campbell Woman of Distinction in 2013;
and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Campbell
congratulates Kimi de Leonibus on being named Campbell's 2016 Citizen of the Year and
recognizes her service and involvement in the Campbell community.
