BEING A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF CAMPBELL CONGRATULATING
WHOLE FOODS, 2016 BUSINESS OF THE YEAR
WHEREAS, Whole Foods, has been selected by the Campbell Chamber of Commerce
as 2016 Business of the Year in recognition of many years of service to the Campbell
community, and will be honored on March 19, 2016 at the annual "Celebrate Campbell"
banquet; and
WHEREAS, Whole Foods, has consistently donated and sponsored many community
events such as the City of Campbell Valentine Fun Run and the Oktoberfest Fun Run;
and
WHEREAS, Whole Foods, generously donated thousands of dollars to many local
charitable foundations and non-profit organizations; and
WHEREAS, Whole Foods, company's culture is based these eight core values: sell the
highest quality natural and organic products available; satisfy, delight and nourish their
customers; support team member excellence and happiness; create wealth through
profits and growth; serve and support local and global communities; practice and
advance environmental stewardship; create ongoing win-win partnerships with suppliers
and promote the health of stakeholders through healthy eating education.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Campbell
congratulates Whole Foods, on being named Campbell's 2016 Business of the Year
and recognizes their valued service to ,the Campbell community and continued
involvement in civic endeavors.
