Lighting District of Santa Clara County certain territory in said
petition particularly described, and said Board finding that said

and the assessed value of real property in said -territory so described,
and that said petition is signed by owners representing at lea,st

property proposed to be annexed to said district as shown by the
last equalized assessment roll of said county, and that said petition
is signed by more than one-fourth (1/4) of the total number of ~
owners of real prope~ty in such distr~ct; and,
WHEREAS, said Board of Supe~isors did fix Monday, the 9th day
of December, 1963~ at 11:00 A. M. of said day, as the time for

A parcel of land situate in the City of Campbell, County of Santa Clara, State of
California described as follows:
BEGINNING at an iron pipe in the Northerly line of Campbell Avenue, as
said Avenue 'existed when 50 feet wide, said iron pipe being the South-
westerly corner of that certain 11.630 acre parcel of land shown upon
that certain map entitled "Record of Survey of Moreland School Site No.
12 being a portion of the Quito Rancho", fi led for record in Book 119
of Maps at page 19, Santa Clara County Records; thence from said point
of beginning along the Westerly line of said 11.630 acre parcel North
00 19' 31" West 804.16 feet to an iron pipe at the Northwesterly c~rner
thereof; thence along the Northerly line of said 11.630 acre parcel
North 890 23' 12" East 640.01 feet to ~n iron pi pe at the Northeasterly
corner thereof; thence along the Easterly line of said 11.630 acre
parcel of land South 00 19' 31" East 777,86 feet to an iron pipe at
the Southeasterly corner thereof in the aforesaid Northerly line of
Campbell Avenue; thence along said Northerly line Westerly along an
arc of a curve to the right from a tangent which bears, South 84° 20'
06'1 West with a radius of 975.00 feet through a central angle of 020
48' 11" an arc distance of 47.70 feet to an iron pipe; thence continuiflg
along said Northerly line tangent to thè preceding curve, South 87° 08'
17" West 593.00 feet to the iron pipe at the point of beginning of this
description, containing 11.630 acres and being all of the aforesaid

Dear Myron:
Enclosed are the original tracings of the off-
site development for Coventry School located on
Campbell Avenue at Coleen Way.
The plans have been revised to delete the paving be-
tween the edge of existing pavement and the 30 feet
of improvements from right-of-way line which the school
district is authorized to construct with state allo-
cated funds. You will also note that the certificate
has been revised to limit the approval to only that
portion of the improvement lying within the limits of
the City of Campbell.
The plans have already been submitted to the School
District and the architect as shown in order to expedite
the construction. I regret that plans were not for-
warded to you as soon as they were completed but this
was an oversight on my part.

Moreland School District request for City
Participation in Dmprovement of Campbell Avenue
Letter dated March 25, 1963.
We have been in contact with the architect for the
school district and have required the school to construct
street improvements from their new curb and gutter and to
~atch the existing stable pavement. This will involve 20 ft.
of new pavement Which must be paid for by the school district.
our present policy in subdivisionsand developments is that a
IIBximum dimension of:29:ft. 4$f~tPð the obligation of the
developer and the City has participated beyond that requirement.
Since this amoUiltis 9 ft. leas than our requirement in other
areas, we would say that the school district should foot
the bill for the total amount.
There is another factor which should also be considered.
In this specific case, the city limits line between Campbell
and San Jose is 25 ft. north of the center line of Campbell
Avenue. our requirements are the only ones that can be
binding upon the school except for excavation permits within
the City of San Jose. The District has improvement plans
Which have been approved by the City Engineer of San Jose
which show that the proposed street improvements will be
as we have requested. Therefore, 15 ft. of the required new
payment will be within the City of San Jose and 5 ft. will
be within Campbell. We believe that if any participation is
considered at all (and we recommend strongly against it)
the City of San Jose should carryall of the cost.
Actually the street improvements required of the District
would be less than those improvements required if they were
putting in one-half of a residential street on their own
and would be 2 ft. more than exactly one'i;1half of a residential
street.

Gentlemen:
This i8 to inform you of the requirements w'hich pertain t:o
the subject site.
A storm drain area fee based upon the City's standard
rate of $575.00.1 acre for school sites is due and payable in cash.
This rate, as applied to your net area of 11.6 acres amounts to
$6,670.00. Credit for the proposed in-ground installation within
public rights-of-way amounts to $770.00 and the difference
of these figures gives a cash balance due of $5,900.00.,
Other fees include $380.00 for five-year rental of the
two fire hydrants Which are to be installed and $450.00 for
plan checking and inspection chaJ:ges. (rotal E"ees - $6, 730.00)
A deed for dedication of the street widening is forwarded to
the school district by copy of this letter. The original and
one copy must be üxöc:;¡ted and returned to this office.
AS to the storm drain line, it is understood that yo~
Engineer, Ruth & Go1n~ is investigating a route to the ~orth
which would pa8s through and partially serve the Church of Christ

We are planning to construct our Coventry School
in the near future on the. north side of Campbell Avenue
opposite Via d'Este in the city of Campbell. Before the
State Department of Finance will approve funds for our half
of the street on the west side of this school site, we must
secure information from the city of Campbell as to the
future plans for this street. I would appreciate receipt
of any information you can give me as to whether or not the
adjacent property owner will be required to deed and pave
half the street, whether or not a tentative subdivision map
exists for the parcel immediately west of our school site,
and your estimate of when the other half of the street might
be constructed.
Your early reply will assist us in expediting a
release of these funds.
