RESOLUTION NO. 2943
BEING A RESOLUTION AND ORDER OF THE CITY
COUNCIL OF THE CI1Y OF CAMPBELL, COU~Y OF
SANTA CLARA, STATE OF CALIFORNIA, VACATING,
PORTIONS OF CAMPBELL AVENUE SITUATE ON TEE
SOUPHERLY SIDE THEREOF AND BETWEEN SOUTH
BASCOM AVE~UE AND UNION AVENUE.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Campbell, County of
Santa Clara, State of California, pursuant to the provisions of
Division 9, Part 3, C;hapters 1, 2 and 3 of the Streets and Highways
Code of the State of California, did heretofore on the 14th day
of Decanber, 1970, pass upon and adopt its Ordinance of Intention
to vacate portions of Campbell Avenue, a pUblic street in the
City of Campbell, being Ordinance No. 762; and,
WHEREAS, at the hour 8:00 o'clock p.l1:. of this 11th day of
January, 1971, in the Council Chambers at City Hall, at 75 North
Central Avenue, Campbell, California, are the time and place set
for hearing all persons interested in or having objections to
said proposed vacation; and,
WHEREAS, at the said hearing evj,.dence "laS presented by persons
inte:cestec'1 in said proposed vacation and no persons appeared in
obj ection thereto 1 and,
vmEREAS, the City Council of said City of Campbell finds and
determines from the evidence submitted that the portions of Campbell
Avenue described upon said Ordinance of Intention are unnecessary
..- - --for--presentor- for' prospectiVe puoTic street purposes; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED AND IT IS HEREBY ORDERED by the
City Council of said City of Campbell that the. portions of Campbell
Avenue, a public street in the City of Campbell, herelnafter described,
be, and they are hereby vacated, abandoned, and closed to public
uses, and that the portlons of said Campbell Avenue hereinabove
referred to are those certa,in portions of Campbell Avenue s,ituate
on the southerly side of said Cnmpbel1 Avenue betw9cn South Bascom
Avenue and Union Av~nue and Dlore particularly described as follows:

PARCEL ONE:
BEGINNING at the northwesterly corner of Lot 1 as same is
shown upon that certain map of Tract No. 588, Barbano SUbdivision,
filed in Book 22 of Maps at Page 48 in the office of the County
Recorder, County of Santa Clara, State of California;
THENCE, East 70.07 feet along the northerly line of said
Lot 1 to the beginning of a tangent curve that is concave south-
westerly and has a radius of 20.00 feet;
THENCE, 31.42 feet along the arc of said curve, through a central
angle of 900, to the point of tangency with the easterly line of
said Lot 1;
THENCE, North 10.00 feet along the northerly prolongation of
said easterly line of Lot 1, to the beginning of a tangent curve
that is concave southwesterly and has a radius of 20.00 feet;
THENCE, 31.42 feet along the arc of lastmentioned curve, through
a central angle of 900 to the point of tangency with a line that is
parallel with and 40.00 feet southerly, measured at right angles,
from the center line of Campbell Avenue, as said center line is
shown upon said map;
THENCE, West 70.07 feet along said parallel line to the inter-
section with the northerly prolongation of the westerly line of
said Lot 1;
THENCE, South 10.00 feet along lastmentioned prolongation to
the POINT OF BEG~NING.
