Gentlemen:
Humble Oil & Refining Company hereby declares its intention to convey to the City
of Campbell for street purposes the property described in attached unexecuted
copy of Grant ~ed. Said property will when acquired by the City of Campbell
(1) extend the northerly line of Campbell Avenue to 50 feet from the centerline
thereof and (2) eA~end the westerly line of Foote Avenue to 25 feet from the
centerline of said Foote Avenue and further (3) will provide for a connecting
corner radius having an arc length of 31.41 feet.
Conveyance by Humble Oil & Refining Company will be subject (1) to its acqu~r~ng
ti tle to lDts 1 and 2 and an alley 20 feet in width~ and a portion of lDts 3, 4,
5 and 6 as shown upon that certain map entitled "Map of the Thomas Addition No. 1
of Campbell" and will apply only to this property as it adjoins the intersecting
streets and (2) approval by Humble Oil & Refining Company's Management at its home
office in Houston, Texas. Since approval by the Southwest Region of Humble of
the purchase of the above mentioned property was with knowledge of proposed widening,
approval by the Company I s Management of the conveyance to you can be anticipated.
The conveyance to you will be more readily explainable to Humble's Management if
we include in the form of Grant ~ed enclosed herewith the words "for street and
highway purposes only" after the words "grant to the CITY OF CAMPBELL, a
municipal corporation". We trust this will be acceptable to you.
Humble's Willingness to convey to you is, of course, predicated upon your issuing
Humble a building permit for its proposed service station building, facilities
and improvements.
