BEING A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CAMPBELL REVOKING THE LIVE ENTERTAINMENT PERMIT ISSUED TO
AARON CRITES ON BEHALF OF THE SPOT
WHEREAS, the City of Campbell passed and adopted Resolution Number
11319 on the 11~h of August, 2011 granting a Live Entertainment Permit to Aaron
Crites on behalf of The Spot; and
WHEREAS, the Police Department has experienced a significant volume
of calls at The Spot, including incidents involving assaults, calls with weapons,
public intoxication, and disturbances which have created a public safety concern;
and
WHEREAS, overcrowding has occurred at The Spot on several
occasions; and
WHEREAS, at least two security staff members, who were not properly
certified as required, are being prosecuted for feloniously assaulting patrons on
separate occasions; and
WHEREAS, there have been several instances throughout the year where
The Spot has violated the hours of their Live Entertainment permit by having live
entertainment past 1:00 a.m.;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Campbell does hereby revoke the Live Entertainment permit granted to Aaron
Crites on behalf of The Spat.
