A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CAMPBELL REJECTING ALL
BIDS FOR THE ANNUAL STREET MAINTENANCE PROJECT 17-BB: RESIDENTIAL
RUBBER CAPE SEAL AND SLURRY SEAL PROJECT AND AUTHORIZING THE
READVERTISEMENT OFTHE PROJECT AND RELATED ACTIONS
WHEREAS, the City Council adopted Resolution No. 12134 authorizing the Public Works
Director to solicit bids, determine the lowest responsive bidder, award, execute a construction
contract, and other associated actions; and
WHEREAS, the Notice Inviting Bids was published on April 12, 2017 and public opening of bids
took place on May 16, 2017; and
WHEREAS, a total of four bid proposals were collected; and
WHEREAS, it was determined that all four bids contained irregularities; and
WHEREAS, the rejection of all bids necessitates re-advertisement of bids;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Campbell that:
1) All bids from the May 16, 2017 bid opening are rejected;
2) The Public Works Director is authorized to advertise and re-bid the Annual Street
Maintenance Project 17-BB: Residential Rubber Cape Seal and Slurry Seal Project; and
3) The Public Works Director is authorized to either negotiate, award, and execute a
construction contract, or reject and re-bid as appropriate.
