A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF CAMPBELL RECOGNIZING 2017 NATIONAL NIGHT OUT
WHEREAS, the City of Campbell will celebrate National Night Out on Tuesday, August
1, 2017; and
WHEREAS, National Night Out provides a unique opportunity for the City of Campbell
to join thousands of communities across the country in promoting cooperative police-
community crime prevention efforts; and
WHEREAS, the Campbell Police Department believes in the importance of community
engagement as a factor in reducing crime; and
WHEREAS, the City of Campbell is committed to enhancing the public trust through
partnerships with the residents they serve through programs like National Night Out;
and
WHEREAS, police-community partnerships, neighborhood safety, awareness and
cooperation are important themes of the "National Night Out" program;
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Campbell does hereby call upon all
residents of the City of Campbell to participate in "National Night Out" on Tuesday,
August 1, 2017 in the City of Campbell.
