A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CAMPBELL COMMENDING SERGEANT JIM STEPHENSON
ON HIS 34 YEARS OF SERVICE TO THE CITY OF CAMPBELL
WHEREAS, Sergeant Stephenson became a Reserve Police Officer in May 1983 and a
Police Officer in June 1987; and
WHEREAS, Sergeant Stephenson was promoted to Agent in July 1992; and
WHEREAS, Sergeant Stephenson was promoted to Sergeant in February 2006; and
WHEREAS, Sergeant Stephenson served in several assignments including Traffic Unit
Supervisor, Major Accident Investigation Team Supervisor, Bike Patrol Officer, Reserve
Police Officer Coordinator, Patrol Supenrisor/Watch Commander, Field Training Officer
and Hostage Negotiations Team Supervisor; and
WHEREAS, Sergeant Stephenson has always had a commitment to providing excellent
service to the Campbell community.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Campbell
recognizes and commends Sergeant Jim Stephenson on his retirement from the City of
Campbell after 34 years of service.
