CC Resolution 12219RESOLUTION NO. 12219 , A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CAMPBELL AMENDING THE FY17/18 CIP BUDGET FOR ANNUAL STREET MAINTENANCE TO CREATE A NEW PROJECT 18XX ANNUAL STREET MAINTENANCE -WINCHESTER BOULEVARD AND RETITLE EXISTING PROJECT 1866 TO ANNUAL STREET MAINTENANCE -AUDREY AVENUE AND HACK AVENUE ;AND AUTHORIZE THE USE OF FY17/18 ROAD MAINTENANCE AND REHABILITATION ACCOUNT (RMRA) FUNDS FOR PAVEMENT RESURFACING OF AUDREY AVENUE AND HACK AVENUE WHEREAS, on April 28, 2017 the Secretary of State filed Senate Bill 1 (S61) also known as the Road Repair and Accountability Act of 2017; and WHEREAS, cities and counties receiving RMRA funds must comply with all relevant federal and state laws, regulations, policies, and procedures; and WHEREAS, staff recommends applying FY2017/18 RMRA funds towards the pavement resurfacing of Audrey Avenue from Burrows Road to the eastern terminus east of Vale Avenue at the rear entrance to Capri Elementary School, and Hack Avenue from W. Parr Avenue to the northern terminus at Audrey Avenue; and WHEREAS, Annual Street Maintenance -Audrey Avenue and Hack Avenue will install full depth asphalt concrete over the width of the two traveled lanes (approximately 24-ft) and then apply slurry seal from road edge to road edge; and WHEREAS, by using the proposed treatment, the useful life of Audrey Avenue and Hack Avenue is expected to be 10 years; and WHEREAS, design for Annual Street Maintenance -Audrey Avenue and Hack Avenue will take place in the fall of 2017 with advertisement of bids anticipated in early 2018, with construction anticipated to begin in summer and conclude in the fall of 2018; and WHEREAS, the Annual Street Maintenance -Audrey Avenue and Hack Avenue project is projected to cost approximately $1.2 million; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Campbell hereby amends the FY17/18 CIP budget for Annual Street Maintenance to create a new project 18XX Annual Street Maintenance -Winchester Boulevard and retitle existing project 1866 to Annual Street Maintenance -Audrey Avenue and Hack Avenue; and authorize the use of FY17/18 Road Maintenance and Rehabilitation Account (RMRA) Funds for pavement resurfacing of Audrey Avenue and Hack Avenue.
