A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CAMPBELL
APPROVING PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS, AUTHORIZING SOLICITATION OF BIDS,
AND OTHER ASSOCIATED ACTIONS FOR THE ANNUAL STREET MAINTENANCE -
AUDREY AVENUE AND HACK AVENUE PROJECT 18-BB:
WHEREAS, on September 9, 2017 the City Council of the City of Campbell amended th~.
FY17/18 CIP budget for Annual Street Maintenance to create a new project Annual Street
Maintenance -Winchester Boulevard Project 18-XX and retitled existing project to Annual
Street Maintenance -Audrey Avenue and Hack Avenue Project 18-BB; and authorized the
use of FY17/18 Road Maintenance and Rehabilitation Account (RMRA) Funds for
pavement resurfacing of Audrey Avenue and Hack Avenue; and
WHEREAS, the final plans and specifications have been prepared for the Annual Street
Maintenance -Audrey Avenue and Hack Avenue Project 18-BB.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Campbell
hereby approves the plans and specifications for the Annual Street Maintenance: Audrey
Avenue and Hack Avenue Project 18-BB,
AND BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Campbell hereby
authorizes the Public Works Director to authorize solicitation of bids for the Annual Street
Maintenance Project 18-BB: Audrey Avenue and Hack Avenue;award and execute a
construction contract and encumber a construction contingency to the lowest responsive
and responsible bidder in an amount not to exceed $853,000; authorize the City Engineer
to negotiate and execute contract change orders up to and within the allocated
construction contingency; and to reject bids and rebid the project, should bids received
have unamenable irregularities.
