A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CAMPBELL REQUESTING TO
PUBLISH RFP FOR THE NEW ENTERPRISE PERMITS, PROJECT, LICENSE, CODE LAND
AND INSPECTION SYSTEM WITH SERVICES
WHEREAS, the City's enterprise permitting system has reached end-of-life and
is in need of replacement;
WHEREAS, the City is quickly adapting to Internet Cloud services and managed
services, because of reduced costs and extended functionality;
WHEREAS, external security threats exist that take advantage of vulnerabilities
found in older technologies; and,
WHEREAS, City Council has determined that a Request for Proposals (RFP)
process is 'the most effective process to use when selecting a replacement enterprise
permitting system that would provide the best value and benefit to the City,
WHEREAS, use of $150,000 in budgeted funds for this purpose replacing the
existing enterprise permitting system is available from the Capital Improvement Budget,
Project.18W;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of
Campbell determines that it is in the best interests of the public to authorize the City
Manager to issue a Request for Proposal (RFP) to replace the existing enterprise
permitting system, and to authorize the City Manager to award a contract and to reject
all responses and reissue the RFP, in such case RFP responses received have
unamenable irregularities.
