RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CAMPBELL
ACCEPTING STATE OF CALIFORNIA CITIZENS' OPTION FOR PUBLIC
SAFETY FUNDING AND APPROVING AN ADJUSTMENT TO THE 2017-2018
FISCAL YEAR BUDGET
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Campbell has adopted a
budget for the 2017-2018 fiscal year; and,
WHEREAS, additional revenue is available to the City from the State of
California Supplemental Law Enforcement Services Fund; and,
WHEREAS, the City has complied with the legal provisions required to
receive this revenue.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of
Campbell that the City accept Citizens' Option for Public Safety Funding from the
State of California in the amount of $132,192 (plus any overage payments) as its
FY 2018 allocation; authorize a budget adjustment to deposit these funds into the
existing Supplemental Law Enforcement Services account; and authorize
expenditures related to Community Services Officer salary and benefits.

REASON FOR REQUEST - BE SPECIFIC:
Supplemental Law Enforcement Grant funds received in fiscal year 2016!2017 to be used to offset salary and
benefit expenses for 0.9 Community Services Officer (0.9 FTE) that are budgeted in the Field Servic e Division.
Piror excess funding received will. offset expenses in FY17/18.
Grant funds received during FY17/18 to be deferred until FY18/19.
