A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF CAMPBELL
TO APPROVE MODIFICATIONS TO THE FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE POLICY
WHEREAS, the City Council established a formal Financial Assistance Policy; on
October 21, 2008; and
WHEREAS, the purpose of the Financial.Assistance Policy is to provide access to fee
based Recreation and Community Services programs and activities for qualifying
Campbell youth and teens; and

WHEREAS, the Financial Assistance Program is funded solely through the generous
donations of local service clubs, businesses and private individuals; and
WHEREAS, the City Council last updated this policy on April 18, 2017 to
increase funding allowance for qualifying households; and
WHEREAS, many low-income students from Rosemary Elementary School live in San
Jose and the Campbell Community Center is the closest location for recreation
programs;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council amends the Financial
Assistance Program Policy as set forth in the attachment that approves allowing
students from Rosemary Elementary School to apply for Financial Assistance for
Campbell recreation programs.
