A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CAMPBELL
AUTHORIZING THE PUBLIC WORKS DIRECTOR TO ENTER INTO A SERVICE
AGREEMENT WITH BRIGHTVIEW LANDSCAPE FOR CITYWIDE TREE SERVICES
WHEREAS, the current Park Maintenance Operating Budget has appropriated funds for
contractual tree services; and
WHEREAS, it is' proposed in next Fiscal Year 2018/19 Park Maintenance Services
Operating Budget. that funding be continued for contractual tree maintenance services;
and
WHERERAS, Campbell Municipal Code 3.20.070, has provisions which allow for the
securing of services through other municipal agencies who have utilized bidding
procedures consistent with the City of Campbell's formal contract procedures; and
WHEREAS, Brightview Landscape has been determined to be the lowest responsible
bidder as a result of a competitive bid process conducted by the Town of Los Gatos;
and
WHEREAS, the Public Works Department would like to piggyback on the Town of Los
Gatos bid process and enter into an agreement with Brightview Landscape as the
preferred vendor for tree care; and
WHEREAS, the initial agreement for tree services will be for three years with the City's
option to renew two (2) -one (1) year agreements for a total of five years.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Campbell
authorizes the Public Works Director to enter into a service agreement with Brightview
Landscape for citywide tree services.
