A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CAMPBELL
AUTHORIZING THE SOLICITATION OF BIDS FOR CONCRETE SIDEWALK REPAIR
WHEREAS, the current Capital Improvement Plan budget has appropriated funds for
sidewalk repair work; and
WHEREAS, the Capital Improvement Plan budget has programmed $100,000 annually
for sidewalk repair work for the next five years; and
WHERERAS, City crews are not trained or equipped to perform concrete work; and
WHEREAS, professional concrete contractors are skilled and equipped to perform
concrete sidewalk repair work.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Campbell
authorizes the solicitation of bids for sidewalk repair work and authorizes the Public
Works Director to enter into a contract with the lowest responsible bidder for a period of
one year with the option to renew the contract for four (4) -one (1) year contracts, for a
total of five years.
