A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CAMPBELL
AUTHORIZING THE PUBLIC WORKS DIRECTOR TO SUBMIT A RUBBERIZED
PAVEMENT GRANT APPLICATION FOR ANNUAL PAVEMENT MAINTENANCE
PROJECT -WINCHESTER BOULEVARD REHABILITATION
WHEREAS, the Department of Resources Recycling and Recovery (CalRecycle)
administers a program to provide opportunities to divert waste tires from landfill disposal,
prevent illegal tire dumping, and promote markets for recycled-content tire products; and
WHEREAS, the Rubberized Pavement Grant Program is designed to promote markets
for recycled-content surfacing products derived from only .California-generated waste
tires; and
WHEREAS, the FY19/23 CIP includes Annual Pavement Maintenance Project No. 18-
XX -Winchester Boulevard Rehabilitation; and
WHEREAS, the method of rehabilitation will include the use of approximately 12,000
tons of Rubberized Asphalt Concrete.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the City Council of the City of Campbell
that the Public Works Director is hereby authorized to submit an application for the
Fiscal Year (FY) 2018-19 CalRecycle Rubberized Pavement Grant Program for the
Annual Pavement Maintenance Project on Winchester Boulevard -Project 18-XX and
execute all grant related agreements to accept grant funding.
