A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CAMPBELL
AUTHORIZING A BUDGET ADJUSTMENT FOR THE APPROPRIATION OF.
FUNDS RELATED TO THE NOVEMBER 2018'\REVENUE MEASURE
WHEREAS, the City Council is placing a revenue ballot measure for the November
2018 General Election related to the Civic Center Master Plan (CCMP) project and
authorized the City Manager to enter into a formal contract with a qualified public information
firm to implement public awareness; and
WHEREAS, staff has obtained the consulting services of Barnes, Mosher
Whitehurst and Lauter to provide public information and consulting services for the City's
ballot measure. Costs associated with this service is anticipated at $28,000; and
WHEREAS, the FY 2018/19 Operating Budget does not include a line-item for the
expenditure of funds to support a public information program related to the November 2018
revenue measure; and
WHEREAS, the City Council had authorized staff to enter into a contract with a
consulting firm with the anticipation of a budget adjustment; and
WHEREAS, staff proposes funding from the Civic Center Master Plan Reserve to
support the City's public information program.
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of
Campbell hereby authorize a budget adjustment to program 101.501.7430 from the Civic
Center Master Plan Reserve in the amount of $28,000 to cover the contractual expenses for
the consulting services and information materials.
