A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CAMPBELL
AMENDING THE GREEN POLICIES FOR CONSTRUCTION AND
DEVELOPMENT PROJECTS
WHEREAS, the City Building Division is committed to improving customer service; and
WHEREAS, the City previously adopted resolution 10850 setting the green building policy for
construction and development within the City of Campbell; and
WHEREAS, the City policy on green building practices was intended in part to bring awareness
to the Campbell building community; and
WHEREAS, the City has adopted the California Green Building Code 2016 edition; and
WHEREAS, the green policy has become redundant with the requirements of the California
Green Building Code and is burdensome for applicants applying for permits.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Campbell revises
the green building policy to eliminate the requirements established in Resolution 10850.
