A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL, AUTHORIZING ISSUANCE OF A
REQUEST FOR PROPOSALS (RFP) AND AUTHORIZING THE PUBLIC WORKS
DIRECTOR OR HIS DESIGNEE TO EXECUTE AN AGREEMENT WITH THE MOST
QUALIFIED FIRM FOR PARK DEDICATION IN-LIEU AND DEVELOPMENT IMPACT
FEE STUDY
WHEREAS, the City desires to promote and maintain a vibrant and healthy system of
City parks, by ensuring that new development contributes either new parkland or in-lieu
fees proportional to the demand created by said new development; and
WHEREAS, the City desires to ensure that the parkland dedication and in-lieu fee
payment requirements are based on current land valuations and occupancy factors; and
WHEREAS, the City desires to explore any other potential sources of revenue related to.
land development projects for new parks and associated facilities; and
WHEREAS, the City desires to ensure that all aspects of the parkland dedication and
in-lieu fee payment processes are in full compliance with the Quimby Act, the
Subdivision Map Act, the Mitigation Fee Act, and any subsequent legal decisions since
the last update of the Municipal Code.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Campbell
hereby authorizes the issuance of a Request for Proposals (RFP) for a Park Dedication
In-Lieu and Development Impact Fee Study, and authorizes the Public Works Director
or his designee to execute an agreement with the most qualified firm.
