Addendum No. 3 to the project plans and specifications for Project 08-04B: Hacienda Avenue
Green Street Improvement Project is hereby made a part-of the Contract.Documents, and as
indicated,the bidder shall acknowledge receipt thereof on Page BP-2 of the Bid Proposal Forms.
Revisions are to be made to the Plans and Specifications as described below:
1. In Section 10, TECHNICAL PROVISIONS, subsection 10-23 "Street Lighting Poles &
Fixtures" on page SP-121 of the project specifications, in the second paragraph delete item
number 4 which begins "4. The installation of monitoring stations..." and replace with the
following:
4. The installation of a monitoring station and hard wire onto a street lighting
standard per detail as shown on the plans and as indicated per manufacturer's
installation details. The City shall provide the following to the Contractor for its
installation: rain gauge (Campbell Scientific TE-525WS-L-PT), solar panel
(Campbell Scientific SP10R solar panel, regulated 1OW), metal lock box, data logger
(Campbell Scientific CR800-ST-SW), battery (12volt), and pressure
transducer/piezometer (Campbell Scientific CS-451-L-SA-2). The Contractor shall
provide all remaining items, including but not limited to mounting equipment, hard
wire, conduit&pull rope,and pull box per monitoring station location.
2. In Section 10, TECHNICAL PROVISIONS, subsection 10-23 "Street Lighting Poles &
Fixtures"on page SP-123 of the project specifications, add the following paragraph:
Relocate Existing Streetlight w/New Foundation
Relocation of existing streetlights shall include the removal of the existing streetlight
standard from the existing foundation, removal of the existing foundation (including
backfill and compaction), removal of the existing fixture from the standard,
installation of new foundation, and the installation of the existing standard onto the
new foundation.
Adiust Existing Streetlight to Grade
Adjust existing streetlight to grade shall include the removal of the existing streetlight
standard from the existing foundation, the removal of the existing foundation
(including backfill and compaction), installation of new foundation, adjustment to
grade, and the installation of the existing standard onto the new foundation.

Removal of Existing Streetlight Foundation
Removal of existing streetlight foundation shall include the complete demolition,
removal and disposal of the existing streetlight foundation including, but not limited
to all concrete and reinforcement, and the backfilling and compaction of any created
voids in accordance with these plans and special provisions.
3. In Section 10, TECHNICAL PROVISIONS, subsection 10-23 "Street Lighting Poles &
Fixtures" on page SP-123 of the project specifications, delete the third paragraph which
begins"Contractor shall use a 30"Diameter ..."and replace with the following:
Contractor shall use a 30" Diameter, 8 FT height Sonotube Finish Free Form column
to pour the circular foundation for the new street lights placed-in the bio-infiltration
areas. Refer to Detail shown on Plan Sheet SL-1. All other streetlights shown on the
plans shall be per city standard streetlight foundation details. All foundations shall
have appropriate bolt pattern for the street lighting standards used.
4. In Section 10,TECHNICAL PROVISIONS, subsection 10-23 "Street Lighting Poles &
Fixtures"on page SP-125 of the project specifications, delete the section under the heading
"Measurement and Payment" and replace with the following:
Measurement and Payment
Full- compensation for furnishing all labor, materials, tools, equipment, and
incidentals, and for doing all of the work in compliance with the Plans, Specifications
and Special Provision Section 10-23, "Street Lighting Poles &Fixtures" shall be paid
for in the appropriate bid item listed below:

Addendum No. 1 to the project plans and specifications for Project 08-04B: Hacienda Avenue
Green Street Improvement Project is hereby made a part of the Contract Documents, and as
indicated,the bidder shall acknowledge receipt thereof on Page BP-2 of the Bid Proposal Forms.
Revisions are to be made to the Plans and Specifications as described below:
1. In Section 10, TECHNICAL PROVISIONS, subsection"Clearing, Grubbing and Removal of
Obstructions" on page SP-39 of the project specifications, delete the second paragraph which
begins "The work consists of..." and replace with the following:
The work consists of the following and as noted on the plans: all soil excavation and off-haul
to the grades necessary for the purpose of installing new improvements including, but not
limited to: bio-infiltration areas and section, driveways, sidewalks, and planting; removal and
disposal of trees and stump grinding; tree trimming; root pruning; removal and disposal of
existing thermoplastic striping and pavement markings; removal and disposal of pavement
markers; PCC and AC sawcutting; removal and disposal of existing PCC sidewalk,
PCC/AC/gravel driveway, PCC/AC/gravel driveway approach, PCC/AC/gravel driveway
conform areas, PCC/AC curb and gutter, PCC valley gutter, PCC median island, and
miscellaneous asphalt concrete; removal and disposal of abandoned utilities (including but
not limited to manholes, drain inlets, conduit line, wires, valve boxes and concrete kick
blocks); removal and disposal of bushes, plants, and vegetation. Work shall also include the
removal and disposal or relocation/replacement of all other existing obstructions in the way
of the improvements indicated on the Plans, Special Provisions or as directed by the
Engineer, including, but not limited to, mailboxes, fences (direct attention to Chain Link
Fence and Gate section), drain lines, bollards, landscape lighting and hardscape.
For the purpose of installing the new roadway section, removal of existing roadway material
shall include asphalt concrete, aggregate base, and other roadbed subgrade material. See
section 10-6, subsection"Roadway Excavation".

Revisions are to be made to the Plans and Specifications as described below:
1. In Section -10, TECHNICAL PROVISIONS, subsection 10-18 "Landscape Soil Preparation"
on page SP-86 of the project specifications, under the heading "3.1 Limits and Grades"
replace the last sentence that begins, "Finish grading under this section..." with the
following:
Finish grading under this section shall be completed in accordance with the grades
indicated on the plans.
2. On sheets SG-3, SG-4 and SG-5 of the project plans, replace the note entitled, "Items Not In
Contract(Sheets SG-3 to SG-5)"with the following:

1. All bio-infiltration fine grading between Virginia Avenue and Winchester
