BEING A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CAMPBELL DECLARING CANVASS OF RETURNS AND RESULT OF
GENERAL MUNICIPAL ELECTION HELD ON TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 6, 2018
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Campbell duly called and held in said City, a
General Municipal Election on the 6th day of November, 2018 for the purpose of
submitting to the qualified electors thereof the election of three City Councilmembers,
.and one Measure.
WHEREAS, said General Municipal Election was held on Tuesday, November 6, 2018,
and in accordance with the law, the votes were received and canvassed. Said returns
were thereof ascertained and declared as required by law.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Campbell as
follows:
1. That the City Clerk of the City of Campbell is hereby instructed to enter this
resolution on the minutes of the City Council as a statement of the result of said
election.
2. That the whole number of ballots cast in said City at said General Municipal
Election was 17;063.
3. That at said election the following candidates and measure were submitted to the
electors of said City and that the number of votes given in said City for each of said
candidates were as follows:

4. That by said Resolution calling said General Municipal Election for said City of
Campbell was divided into twenty-three (23) voting precincts for the purpose of said
election, and that the number of votes cast in each of said precincts was as attached
hereto and made a part hereof and marked "Exhibit A."
5. That all vote by mail ballots have been duly received and canvassed in time for
and in the manner required by law, and the result is outlined in "Exhibit A."
6. That the following candidates elected and following Measure approved are:

7. That the terms of office shall be for a four (4) year term, expiring November 8,
2022.

I, Shannon Bushey, Registrar of Voters of the County of Santa Clara, State of
California, hereby declare:
1. A General Election was held in the County of Santa Clara, for the City of
Campbell, on November 6, 2018 for the purpose of electing Three (3) Council
Members to the Governing Board.
2. The official canvass of the returns of this election was conducted by the
Office of the Registrar of Voters in accordance with the appropriate provisions of the
Elections Code of the State of California.
3. The Statement of Votes Cast, now on file in my office, shows the number of
votes for each candidate for the Governing Board of the City of Campbell and in each
of the precincts and that the total shown for each candidate are true and correct.

I, Shannon Bushey, Registrar of Voters of the County of Santa Clara, State of
California, hereby declare:
1. The 2018 General Election was held in the County of Santa Clara, in the City of
Campbell, on November 6, 2018 for the purpose of submitting the following measure to the
voters:
® To provide a police emergency operations center that is fully operational
during a disaster and an innovative library in seismically safe, accessible,
and energy -efficient facilities meeting current safety codes, shall the City of
Campbell's measure to issue $50,000,000 in general obligation bonds with
projected levies of $0.019 per $100 ($19 per $100,000) of assessed value,
generating an estimated average of $3,025,000 annually to repay bonds
through maturity, with citizen oversight and all funds spent locally, be
adopted?
2. The official canvass of the returns of the election was conducted by the Office of
the Registrar of Voters in accordance with the appropriate provisions of the Elections Code
of the State of California.
3. The Statement of Votes Cast, now on file at my office, and sections attached
hereto, shows the whole number of votes cast for Measure O in each of the precincts and
the total shown is true and correct.
