RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CAMPBELL
APPOINTING DIRECTORS TO THE POOLED LIABILITY ASSURANCE NETWORK
JOINT POWERS AUTHORITY (PLAN JPA)
WHEREAS, the City of Campbell is a member of PLAN corporation, a California non-
profit corporation ("PLAN Corporation") comprised of public agencies pooling their property and
liability .risk in conjunction with the Association of Bay Area Governments ("ABAG") Joint
Exercise of Powers Authority ("JPA"), established pursuant to California Government Code
§6500 et seq.; and
WHEREAS, ABAG PLAN Corporation has been replaced by the Pooled Liability
Assurance Network Joint Powers Authority (PLAN JPA), effective July 1, 2018; and
WHEREAS, PLAN JPA is a self -funded insurance pool serving public agencies; and
WHEREAS, the operations of these programs are governed by a Board of Directors
consisting of one representative from each member agency; and
WHEREAS, participation on the Board of Directors is carried out by City of Campbell
staff as part of its regular duties and does not result in any remuneration to the employee.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
CAMPBELL that it hereby designates the City's Finance Director as its represenative Board
Member; and the City's Human Resources Manager as its Board Alternate.
