BEING A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF CAMPBELL CONGRATULATING
CAROL HOFFMAN, 2018 CITIZEN OF THE YEAR
WHEREAS, Carol Hoffman, was selected by the Campbell Chamber of Commerce as
2018 Citizen of the Year 'in recognition of her commitment and significant contributions
to the Campbell community, and will be honored on March 16, 2019 at the annual
"Celebrate Campbell" banquet; and
WHEREAS, Carol Hoffman, has lived in Campbell for over thirty years, . and after .
raising her family, -she decided to give back to the community by serving in a variety of
roles; and
WHEREAS, Carol Hoffman, joined the Campbell/West-Valley Rotary in 2013, and in
2014 she joined the Campbell Police Foundation Board, as well as being appointed to
the Civic Improvement Commission; and
WHEREAS, Carol Hoffman, was one of the founding members of the West Valley
Rotary Community Corps when it was established in 2018, and serves as the current
President; and
WHEREAS, Carol Hoffman, graduated in the first class of the Leadership Campbell
Program, which provided an understanding of Campbell's infrastructure; and
WHEREAS, Carol Hoffman, has an impressive record of community volunteerism,
which includes the City park cleanups, Night to Shine, Campbell Toy Drive, Bunnies and
Bonnets, and Carol of Lights.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Campbell .
congratulates Carol Hoffman on being named Campbell's 2018 Citizen of the Year and
recognizes her service and involvement in the Campbell community.
