A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CAMPBELL
AUTHORIZING THE USE OF FY19/20 ROAD MAINTENANCE AND REHABILITATION
ACCOUNT (RMRA) FUNDS FOR THE ANNUAL STREET MAINTENANCE -
WINCHESTER BOULEVARD RESURFACING PROJECT
WHEREAS, on April 28, 2017 the Secretary of State filed Senate Bill 1 (SB1) also known
as the Road Repair and Accountability Act of 2017; and
WHEREAS, cities and counties receiving RMRA funds must comply with all relevant
federal and state laws, regulations, policies, and procedures; and
WHEREAS, staff recommends. applying FY19/20 RMRA funds towards the pavement
resurfacing of Winchester Boulevard from the northern city limits near Rosemary Lane to
the southern city limits near Knowles Drive, and a portion of Campbell Avenue from
Winchester Boulevard to Jeffers Way; and
WHEREAS, the project will resurface Winchester Boulevard within the project limits with a
goal to extend the useful life of the pavement within the project area for at least another ten
years; and
WHEREAS, the Annual Street Maintenance — Winchester Boulevard project is budgeted at
$7.7 million; and
WHEREAS, construction is anticipated to begin in the summer of 2019.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Campbell
hereby- authorizes the use of Road Maintenance and Rehabilitation Account (RMRA) funds
for the Annual Street Maintenance — Winchester Boulevard Resurfacing project.
