A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CAMPBELL
AUTHORIZING THE PUBLIC WORKS DIRECTOR TO SOLICIT BIDS FOR
LANDSCAPE MAINTENANCE SERVICES IN THE CITY'S MEDIAN ISLANDS AND
RIGHT-OF-WAYS
WHEREAS, in FY 2017/18, City Council approved additional funds in the Parks
Maintenance Operating Budget to increase the frequency of contractual landscape
services; and
WHEREAS, the_current Parks Operating Budget has appropriated funds for contractual
landscape maintenance services; and
WHEREAS, professional landscape contractors are better equipped with traffic control
devices; and
WHEREAS, using licensed professional landscape contractors in medians and high
traffic flow areas will remove City crews from these conditions; and
WHERERAS, the Department of Public Works will solicit bids and award to the lowest
responsible bidder a one (1) year contract effective July 1, 2019, for landscape services
of the median islands and other right-of-ways, with an option to renew the contract for
four (4) additional one (1) year terms.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Campbell
authorizes the Public Works Director to solicit bids for landscape maintenance services
for the City's median islands and right-of-ways and authorizes the Public Works Director
to enter into a one year contract, with an option to renew the contract for an four (4)
additional one (1) year terms.
