A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF CAM PBELL
COMMENDING JOY FRANCOIS FOR OVER 11 YEARS OF SERVICE
TO THE CITY OF CAMPBELL UPON HER RETIREMENT
WHEREAS, Joy Francois' career with the City of Campbell began in February 2008 as an
Executive. Assistant in the Public Works Department; and
WHEREAS, Joy has provided administrative support for the Public Works Department and
has brought a unique set of experience and perspectives to her position; and
WHEREAS, Joy has been an invaluable member of the Public Works. team and has
provided expertise in the following- areas: drafting and proofreading Council reports,
tracking Council agendas, managing the Department website and serving on the website
refresh committee, tracking budgets,, managing the CIP bid process, organizing files for
destruction, attending Emergency Operations training, and providing overall outstanding
support to her colleagues; and
WHEREAS, Joy has been the recording secretary for the Parks and Recreation
Commission during her entire career with the City; and
WHEREAS, Joy has been recognized by the Silicon Valley Chapter of the America Public
Works Association with the 2019 Award of Administrative Excellence; and
WHEREAS, Joy has continuously provided excellent customer service to the residents of
Campbell and support to her coworkers.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Campbell does
hereby express its appreciation to Joy Francois for eleven years of loyal and valuable
service and best wishes for a fulfilling retirement.
